You can pick the new Roku 3 up at SAMs Club for $96.00 regular price. Works better on my sons TV in his room than our smart TV streams in the other rooms. Super Fast streaming for net flix and super quick set up. Free month of Hulu 2 included and comes with HDMI cable. Will buy 2 more soon !

Do you know if there is any benefit to adding the Roku 3 to a smart tv?

Smart tvs are not really so smart, and sometime very slow. I would prefer to buy a regular tv and add this roku 3, you would end up saving some dollars. You know a tv is advertised as smart and then they add $200 or $300 dollars more for that. Roku 3 is by far the best complement of any tv, not only make it smart but it has many free apps you can install for free. In my case I install TIME WARNER CABLE app I watch TV on my kitchen wirelessly, that is sweet I stopped paying $10 a month for an extra cable receiver. And My son loves watching Netflix and amazon. I installed some apps for kids like pbs kids and other apps I keep my kid entertainedfor some time. Also Roku 3 has a wireless headphoneand a USB port I play some videos I have on my usb fash drive. And more important this Roku 3 has an upgraded processor, memory and wifi adapter. Love it.

Thanks Bryan, another tip - they are even cheaper at sams online. I checked here at Amazon first and was very annoyed that they were so expensive. This bundled set can be purchased online at Sam's club for 84.86. Extremely impressed with the Roku3 and this bundle.
Nothing like getting some new equipment only to find that you need another 20.00 item to make it connect (the HDMI). This set has everything!
Though I will admit Sam's online process leaves alot to be desired, but most likely because I haven't ordered from them in years, I usually buy everything from Amazon.

I can say I don't know anything about Dish satellite.
I do know that the Roku3 is for HD tv's, where as the earlier editions are for any tv

I just placed an order of this tonight here at Amazon after my friend demo his Roku 3 but I still don't understand do I have to keep my Time Warner Cable (Cable & Internet) in order for this to work or will this work without the cable and just have the Internet?
Cus my daughter just give up her Time Warner Cable last Saturday and share the WiFi with her Landlady above her, I was gonna order another one to give her but will it work with just the Internet? Thanks juncd.com
