Convenient, Comfortable, DOES work well!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VT PenPad 7.7-Inch Graphic Pen Tablet (Black) (Personal Computers)
People might tend to dismiss this tablet for drawing ditially or other uses because it is not a big brand name, but surprisingly enough it does work and very well.
It is flexible, and easily portable. It comes with its USB cable, pen and a digital drawing software that also works well for photos called Artweaver. It is basically a Photoshop 7 clone program that is quite good, and does allow to create almost any image you want, is more user friendly to the general public than Photoshop, has lots of filters, and you can download updates. The disk includes other software titles for those interested in creating documents using their own hadwritting.
The pen is not heavy, easy to write and handle, it comes with a AAA battery, which dosen't lasts too long so I'd recommend using alkaline batteries.
Overall is a very nice product that does what it promises without high price tags and without much complication installing.

All tablets are supposed to work with whatever software you have in your computer. This one like al others is also a good substitite for a mouse.

Does the picture actually appear on the tablet itself or on the computer screen (or both)?
Also, is it "plug & play"? As I don't want to have to install anything,

This a very basic tablet made of flexible material, picture appears on your computer screen.
You plug it and then insert the software disk, yes it has to be installed. Have someone help you if you cannot do it yourself., though it is easy.
