I had bought my daughter the Flip 60 min Video Camcorder for her birthday but it didn't have the extended SD memory. So I decided to get the RCA version. Both take nice little videos. Quality is good for the size of the camera. If I wanted video of anything, all I had was my 15 year old Sharp VHS that was very heavy! I can pop this into my purse and have it with me all the time. It's great for candid shots of my grand dogs and grand kids. The sound is good, the picture is good and even the saved "snapshots" are good. For the money I'd say go for it. If your expecting video the equivalence of a very expensive camcorder, then don't buy this one. If you want something to take with you that isn't bulky and can appreciate it for what it is, then buy this. Compared to the Flip, the quality is about the same.
