This review is from: Gears of War: Judgment (Video Game)
Like most people here I've been a Gearshead/Gears fan from Gears 1. Beat Gears 1, 2, and 3 on every difficulty with friends, and spent countless hours on multiplayer and Horde in Gears 3. Even got the exclusive flame skins for beta-testing Gears 3, and pre-ordered so I'd get Overrun early.
Now...I don't have a job right now. When I 1st pre-ordered GOW: Judgement I *was* working. So, I *really* couldn't afford to put down $60+ bucks for this game...but as I've mentioned I'm a dedicated Gearshead. Hell, I even went full-on in and got the Season Pass, because Judgement just *looked* so good and the developers PROMISED us a full, fun game and they've usually delivered.
I'm going to try to sell/return my copy ASAP to try to recoup my losses, and sadly I'll have to take a hit on the Season Pass. I REALLY couldn't afford to have this game be as horribly *horribly* disappointing as it is. I'm not having ANY fun. Survival? Only 10 rounds? Campaign? Uninspiring and over in a heartbeat. The same 4 crap maps for muliplayer played over and OVER again.
.....I'm heartbroken and now even worse broke. I *never* did understand why Gears of War: Judgement was even being made. Gears 1, 2, and 3 were the *perfect* trilogy and like most others, I had believed the series had wrapped up well and completely. Then along came the announcement and subsequent release of GOW: Judgement. I haven't been this heartbroken, disappointed, and disillusioned in a game in a VERY long time.
This game was NOT worth my hard-earned 60+ dollars. I'm more mad at the fact that I could have used this money for gas for my car to help me find a job. This game is just...such a waste...
