I love this thing. I have a small raw food restaurant in the East Village in NYC, and I have recently added cooked food items on our menu for the winter season, like butternut squash soup, miso vegetable stew and different pilaf dishes. Since there is not a single stove or oven in the kitchen, this little clay pot cooks everything for us. Not only is it easy and convenient to use, the food seems to taste better than a regular cook pot, may be it is the clay that enriched the flavors. Most importantly my customers are raving about the cooked food dishes :-)
The reason why I did not give this a 5-stars is because the plug is very loose in the cooker's socket, if it was accidentally bumped by someone, the power goes off even though the plug is still in the socket, I have to juggle the plug to get the power back and then re-program the cook time again. If this happens in the middle of cooking, I have to quickly get the power back before it lost its very short-term memory. If the power is lost for a while and the memory got lost, then I have to guess how much more time it needs to cook, that can be pretty tough to guess and it might ruin the dish if I did not guess correctly.
