I love spending money on socks,
This review is from: Ozone Women's 4 Pack Crew Socks - Green Waves and Stripes (Apparel)
$7.50 per sock is a bargain. That's only $15 per pair! Slap me in the face and call me Shirley! I'm gonna get a second job just so I can replace me wife's current sock inventory.

LOL: Mine were $12.32 for a pair bought at a local coop. Yes, I too thought long and hard before proceeding to 'checkout'.
Once a year, getting several sets of high quality socks means they generally last for at least a year, and don't wear in the heels and toes as quickly as the 'cheaper' varities, plus they are "pretty!'
When you consider material costs, designer costs, labor costs, shipping costs, advertising costs etc. then that sum doesn't seem quite as painful...
Another way to view it is this...A 'night on the town' where you each have one drink and leave a tip could cost the same, but socks last longer~

The ad says you get four PAIRS of socks, not four socks. I would request the missing socks if I were you.
