What a neat product. My parents bought this for my daughter who just turned one. She crawls, cruises, and has taken a few steps but definitely uses the walk behind products a lot right now. The design is ingenious. She can walk behind the "bike" and even turn (which is something she hadn't been able to do with other products). Or she can ride and push the bike. She really seems to enjoy the freedom of movement and is all smiles when scooting around. The wheels are like rollerblade wheels and move easily on the carpet but when she gets on tile she can really move without falling. Assembly was a breeze and the bike seems very sturdy. I do not anticipate any issues. Overall I would definitely recommend this product for a child learning to walk.
Update-While I still think this product is neat it does not work well on carpet. My daughter trying to push it through the carpet has toppled headfirst over the front when it tips because there is too much resistance. I have reduced my 5 star rating to 3. I wish it were more stable.

Thank you for adding the part about the carpet. I was about to purchase the product but changed my mind after reading your review, as we live in an all carpeted apartment. Thanks for saving me the trouble of buying and returning!

Love amazon reviews. Thanks for the feedback:) I reviewed a walking bike that has been amazing. It may be a bit early for your little one but definitely worth looking into.

The product says to use on smooth surfaces indoors and outdoors... I dont see how you can degrade the product because of your misuse.

Thanks for telling me what my opinion should be:) I received the product as a gift from my parents. If they weren't aware of the smooth surfaces requirement then I am sure others have made the same mistake. Just hoping that my review helps others make an informed decision.

We have this bike too. I def can see how that happened HOWEVER we have had that problem only from transitioning from one surface to the other. When on just carpet or just smooth, it works fine. So if someone is in a fully carpeted place, it should work well! Has anyone had issues when just on carpet (not moving from smooth to carpet)?

It probably depends on the carpet and the child. The front handles, when sitting on the seat, were too far forward (in my opinion). With regular-ish carpet she would wind up pushing it over. I wish I had done a video review of it. On linoleum and tile it worked really well.
