Great speaker. Beats Bose!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pyle Home PCB3BK 3-Inch 100-Watt Mini Cube Bookshelf Speakers - Pair (Black) (Pair) (Electronics)
I bought this pair because my young daughter grabbed a speaker off the mantel and dropped it breaking the cone of the Bose speaker. I started researching replacements for the broken Bose speaker and found the prices of one replacement speaker to be ridiculously expensive. I found this pair and thought what the heck for the price I will give it a shot before I break the bank on one tiny speaker. This pair sounds better than Bose for sure. I compared them side by side and found that the Pyle had a better sound. I now believe Bose is all hype. Don't believe all the hype and the Haters of good cheap sound quality. This is a great speaker set with unbelievable sound out of a tiny cube. If you wanna waste a ton of money to impress your friends by saying you have a Bose go right ahead but I am now a Pyle fan.

BOSE impresses people?? "No Highs, No Lows - must be BOSE!". I have had BOSE in two cars and was not impressed at all. I use a WAVE RADIO with a laptop for home gym music and it is the best BOSE device I have ever heard, but only impressive for the size. I have computer speakers that sound better.

Agreed. Bought a Silverado with the Blows speaker system... the speakers in my base model Cavalier sound MUCH MUCH better. I also had this suspicion confirmed by a car audio guy -- they hate BOSE.

I can't believe that these beat Bose speakers. But if you think so, that's fine.

will this work on a 220 volt outlet, and how is sound input into these?

Pros agree, the biggest strength of Bose is their advertising, not the quality of the speakers.

These are not amplified speakers, they need to be hooked up to an amplifier (i personally recomend a lepai 2020a+)

Would these work for a surround speaker setup?

They don't produce any base?
