Nice Old School Windshield,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Slip Streamer III S-03 The Original Fairing for 1976-1983 Yamaha Motorcycles
I recently bought a 1985 model Honda Magna V30. It is a classic, straight-up bike built for the road. Years ago when I purchased my first motorcycle (an early 1980s Suzuki GS550) I had a windshield put on it that looked identical to this Slipstreamer III. It may have actually been the same thing since these have been around a long time. I liked the look of the Suzuki, and I wanted to do something similar with the Honda. The installation was straightforward. An easy job for one person. There are decent instructions that come with the windshield, and I found a YouTube video that showed a man installing one which was very helpful.
There were a couple of small nuts and bolts with caps that seemed a bit cheap to me, and this is the reason I knocked off one star. I had a problem with a couple of nuts and bolts, but was able to work through it. The manufacturer would do well to use a higher grade for them as the cost would not be much and it would make the kit perfect in my opinion.
The windshield looks very nice. I have a rectangular headlight and it fit around it very nicely. Most importantly, the windshield does its job. Wind and bugs are deflected, and traveling at 55 MPH is now much more relaxing since I do not get buffeted by the wind. The windshield is solid. It does not shake or vibrate, but seems very sturdy.

Does it come with the necessary brackets for mounting?

This is awesome, I can't tell you how long I've been looking for the perfect windshield for my 85 Magna V30! I can't believe the one review this had was a customer with the same bike. Since almost every windshield these days are "universal" and can fit so many models I was very wary since the Magna has a rectangular headlight, but your review has convinced me.
Thank you so much for leaving this review!
As it has been a few years are you still happy with the windshield?? Just want to be sure before I buy! Thanks again!

I no longer have the bike, but I was perfectly satisfied with the windshield up until the time I sold my Honda.
