book worth reading,
This review is from: Then I Invented the World (A Cosmic Comedy) (Kindle Edition)
I read a couple other books by Stan. This is his first SF. I was quite intrigued to see how he does in this genre. My impression/assessment changed throughout the
book: curious at first, interested with the plot after, somewhere near the end i started to feel disappointment, as i did not see mind weapons, nor developing any conflict among the main characters.
The last sentence changed it all: all the pieces fell into their due places and the whole book got its unique meaning and made me start thinking anew about the topics touched in the book.
Some parts bear visible construction efforts (which is a mark of professional approach; this is a must for a good book), on the whole it is an outstanding one, there are no books like this one.
To me this is the sign of very high-end literature that makes people like me think, see well-known things in a new perspective.
Congratulations, Stan: it is a very good book, it is worth reading.
