Works fantastic, but only has 4 foot power cord. (4.5 stars),

This hub was purchased to replace an ancient Radio Shack 4-port hub. When it recently died a horrible death, I wanted a hub with many more ports, in the hope that I could cut down on the "cord nightmare" coming out of my computer. After installing this, the only USB device now plugged into the computer is the cord for this hub. All of my USB peripherals are plugged into the hub and are easily accessible whenever I need to add another peripheral.
The hubs emits a bright blue light, about four inches long, which may be obtrusive to some, but since I have it mounted on my desk, directly behind the monitor, it remains out of my sight.
The only reason why I didn't give this product 5 stars (I'd rate it 4.5 stars) is because the USB cord needed to connect to the computer is only about four feet long, which is about a foot too short for me. Luckily, a 10-foot long USB extension cord was used and everything is working fine.
One other note: the power plug is almost three inches wide, which means, depending upon your power strip configuration, it may block an additional socket on your power strip, as it did on my Belkin 10-Socket Metal SurgeMaster, but I just used a different power strip for this device.
