There are no instructions on connecting the device to your bluetooth phone. The CD has data for a PC connection and does not appear useful for wireless. The passcode is "1234" and I read that from another post. It identifies itself as "CBT." on your android phone to pair with it. I then used the android app "Torque" to get it to connect and display info. I had to go into the settings on Torque to make sure I had the right settings and device selected. A bit of trial and error, but Android is like that.

The issues you describe have nothing to do with Android. It is a poor software by the producers.
