The start of a great series!,
This review is from: Mr. Monk Goes to the Firehouse (Mass Market Paperback)
As a the Monk TV series, I loved this book. I feel confident in saying that if you are also a fan of the series, you too will enjoy this book.
The characterizations of Monk, Natalie, and Stottlemeyer were dead on. It is a blast that the Monk characters, which usually exist in the confines of a 1 hour TV show, can be stretched into a 300 page book!
I can't guess what a non-Monk fan would think of this book, but if you like the series - get this book!
Nice Romance for Natalie
Touching Mother/Daughter stuff
Touching scene with Monk and Garbage Guy
Monk ate cereal with milk!
At least 3 references to Natalie's small breasts
Gratuitous references to "Murder, She Wrote" and "Diagnosis: Murder" (2 other book series written by this author)
Must wait until JULY to get next book!

Lee Goldberg says:
I cringed at the milk mistake, too. I don't know how I missed that. While I did write and produce the DIAGNOSIS MURDER TV series (and write the books), I do not have anything to do with MURDER SHE WROTE. But I will confess that it was an intentional nod to my friend Donald Bain, who writes the Jessica Fletcher books.
