A wonderful "feel good" read,
This review is from: Finding Our Way Home: A Novel (A Snowglobe Connections Novel) (Paperback)"Finding Our Way Home" by Charlene Ann Baumbich is a wonderful "feel good" story about love, healing, perseverance, and most of all grace.
Sasha Davis, a wonderfully talented ballerina, suffers a career-ending fall. Physically and emotionally devastated, she pushes away everyone who cares about her and retreats to her childhood home, vacated by her recently deceased mother. Her greatest desire is to be left completely alone, however, she cannot physically care for herself due to her injuries.
Hired by Sasha to be her assistant and aide, Evelyn Burt is a self-assured and confident nineteen years old. Evelyn, madly in love and engaged to be married, knows what she wants in life and knows how to get it.
The two women, complete opposites in almost every way, have much to teach each other. Bubbly, optimistic Evelyn begins to teach Sasha about healing and grace - God's grace. Evelyn, in turn, begins to learn that life doesn't always work out like you plan, but the enduring love of family and friends help you get through any crisis.
When I turned the last page of this book, I let out a sigh - a peaceful, contented, "feel good" sigh.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
