Good book, but watch out for the typos,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Secrets of Mental Math: The Mathemagician's Guide to Lightning Calculation and Amazing Math Tricks (Kindle Edition)
I bought this book in its Kindle version for my PC. I am enjoying it, and happy to see progress in my ability to perform mental calculations. Math was never my strong suit, so this is just what I need.
My only negative comment is that the publisher needs to more carefully edit the text. I came upon three typos within the first couple of chapters, and these were errors in operations signs (for example, "+" instead of "x").

This seems to be a problem with the Kindle transcription process... I've heard about this happening in other books as well. :(

Darn! I'm about to travel from California to New York and plant to buy the Kindle for the trip instead of taking a lot of reading books. I was thinking this would be a great book to buy for the trip. Guess not. How disappointing!

Are you traveling by yourself? This book is good if you are alone when you read because it requires that you say numbers outloud! You wouldn't want people to raise eyebrows at you lol :)

Oh, goodness, Sandy. You clearly misunderstood what she meant.
