This review is from: Matchbox Mega Rig Shark Adventure (Toy)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program (What's this?)My 3-year old son plays with mostly LEGOs and Plan Toys. Maga Rig Shark Adventure comes in typical demo-oriented packaging, requiring either lots of patiences (unwiring all the wires holding each piece) or a pair of scissors. Each piece is made of cheaper plastic material and some do not fit with satisfying click (and falls apart with minor tap). Basically, I expected very little from this toy.
The concept is simple. A shark hunting ship and a large rubber shark. Granted, kids will think the ship is after evil Jaws shark, but the concept is a bit disturbing in this post Whale Wars era.
But what can I say. My kid loves this toy and it's a hit in play dates.
The ship has many interactive parts that can be taken apart, such as a working harpoon, working crane, superstructure, satellite, wheels, propellers, and a pair of lifeboats. You can make literally dozens of different vehicles or machines, such as crane truck or smaller boat.
The shark is perhaps the coolest piece. Pushing the fin causes the jaw to close. A pair of sailors have many moving parts as well.
All the pieces are fully water friendly can serve as a bath toy (it won't float for a long time, however).
