4.0 out of 5 stars Enough about the price drop complaining, review the product!, December 9, 2009
This review is from: Rocky: The Undisputed Collection (Rocky / Rocky II / Rocky III / Rocky IV / Rocky V / Rocky Balboa) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Ok, I watched this set I borrowed from a friend and the picture isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Somewhere someone said they felt like they were watching a VHS tape...give me a break! While they obviously could have done a better job cleaning these up, they are for sure better than the DVD versions. But it's still a decent transfer...I'm sure there they will eventually be completely remastered.

As for those of you complaining about the price droppings...have you noticed the significant drop overall in blu-ray pricing? Now the blu-ray is becoming more mainstream, the prices are coming down! If there are no advantages to pre-ordering, then don't get it! Everyone has had a situation where they paid for something and later saw it cheaper and lost a few bucks. Amazon is still cheaper than going out to Best Buy or Wal-mart and getting it. Factor in that the majority of Amazon users don't have to pay tax and can have the items shipped to you for FREE, then that is even more in savings. So again, if you don't like it, don't buy it!

AMEN, Richard!!!

I, too, am sick of the "whiners" re: price.

And posts re: price do NOT belong among the comments that are reviewing the actual product.

As an early "adopter" of blu-ray (8/07), my player cost me $600. Am I "whining/complaining" because they can now be purchased for a mere FRACTION of that price? NO!

You said it clearly. Prices CHANGE!!!

These "whiners" need to UNCLENCH.

And review the product.

There. I feel better now. grins.

I agree completely. But, if you want to talk about price dropping, I got this set 3 weeks ago at Wal-Mart for $29.95. That's $25 less than Amazon is asking. Works that way sommetimes. I'm actually browsing Amazon now because, for the most part, Amazon's Blu-Ray prices are significantly cheaper than Wal-Mart, I get the items shipped for free, and I don't have to deal with Wal-Mart's rude customer service.

Complaining about prices dropping is redundant. Every time I buy a new release on Blu-Ray or DVD, it costs me between $20 and $30. A month or two later, it's sitting on the bargain shelf for $10 to $13. Bottom line is, if you want it bad enough, you'll pay the price. If not, you'll wait (which is actually what I normally do).

Price dropping has absolutely nothing to do with reviewing the quality of a product.
