This review is from: Siren's Feast, An Edible Odyssey (Paperback)
Siren's Feast left me breathless. I read Eat, Pray, Love last year and really enjoyed it. This book is Eat, Pray, Love on steroids. The added bonus of recipes laced throughout the memoir allows the reader to participate in the author's amazing & colorful life experiences. Living in Ibiza in the late 60s and early 70s (and opening the first vegetarian restaurant there), Nancy seemed to live the life of a hippy, a gypsy, a spiritual seeker, a participant in "free love" and all the while exploring life as a culinary journey. Nancy Mehagian has a gift with the written word. And her life experiences are as delicious as her recipes. I hope she'll write the continuation of her story. Like a terrific meal, it was richly satisfying. And I want more, more, more!
