Thanks for bringing the personal element to a review. I didnt connect with Ray of Light in many of the ways you did ... but you are absolutely correct in inferring the risks taken with the pop genre both connected and elevated Madonna in ways even her actual fans didnt anticipate. Surprisingly refreshing for fans; crucially refreshing for pop music.
