TARA'S GREAT IDEA,
This review is from: Mandy Mouse Lives at Lydia House (Paperback)
Tara Rye, Bible teacher, writer, volunteer and parent in Omaha, Nebraska, has written a wonderful children's book, long-needed to increase awareness of homelessness and its effect on children. The average age of a homeless person in the United States is nine years old! With millions of homeless adults and children, including 2,000 in the Omaha area, Rye felt the need to donate all book proceeds to the Open Door Mission, Omaha. Her friend Molinda Parker donated delightful illustrations.
Rye wrote Mandy Mouse Lives at Lydia House with the assistance of her children. It's about Mandy Mouse who has a delightful curl that bounces this way and that. She's anxious, cold, hungry, and the car she's living in doesn't have a shower. She's also full of faith.
Get the book to find out how God answered Mandy's prayer, and help support the Open Door Mission in Omaha. [...]
