I believe this rates with the best of any comic related movie. A great movie with top actors and great directing. The movie keeps its original counter parts along with great effects and just makes it a triumph movie. I normally never write a review on anything but I do like to review products and reading other reviews on this movie it seems to not get what it deserves. Great movie overall with great acting, effects and action packed from the start to finish. Take this movie as it is "comic book related" and the movie itself is right on with what its suppose to be. Great movie! Thanks for such a comeback on the superman series. This movie was much needed at least for me to get back on. Its like for people who were not into Stark Trek but watched the new JJ Abrams directed movies and you were hooked.

Hi Ryan,

A decent review overall... but you make a parallel which I disagree with. I love this film because it treats Superman with respect... not as a "campy cartoon." And this film is very faithful to the source material... ie, the comics (as opposed to the 1979 movie which some reviewers seem to associate with "the source material"). But I find the "Star Trek Reboot" to be deeply DISAPPOINTING, because it took the story into a far more campy, less serious, less intellectual realm, and instead of going closer to the source material and showing respect for it, it purposefully disregards the source material (and not just in "history is different now" ways, I really mean "tone and philosophy," and even more, CHARACTERIZATION, at least as much if not more)

So... your positives on this movie are spot-on, in my view, but comparing this (which HONORS THE SOURCE MATERIAL) to Abrams' Star Trek (which purposefully mocks the source material) is... well... it's a bad comparison.
