Thank you for actually using this product for your review. We too are a military family, so our main purpose is to communicate with deployed dad and grandparents across the US. By seeing the picture quality and hearing the sound, I can make a better decision as to which product is best for me. I haven't seen any other web cams with a video review, but I'm still looking so I can compare. Thanks again for your review.

Thanks for your review... great job summarizing the pros and cons. More importantly, thanks for your service to our country!

Thank you for the actual use of the product during your review. It helps a lot to see and hear what I am buying.

Thanks for the review. I DID notice repeated color shifting when you leaned forward and backward as if such a minor distance change somehow caused the camera to change focus and/or change low-light operation. I don't know about this camera, even for the price.

I have been looking for a webcam to talk with my girlfriend who lives in china while I live in the U.S. There are a lot of reviews for different cams but being able to see actual video using this cam sold me.It might be a cheaper model but the video is without flicker and the mic picked up fairly well although I think having a head mic would be clearer. Thanks for the live review.

One video is worth a thousand printed words. I find the color flicker annoying and the overall quality is not impressive. I think I'll steer clear of this model and see what else is out there. Thanks for posting this way.

I agree, you showed wisdom in actually using the camera to create your review. Thanks. BTW, when you get back to civilian life, you might give a thought to becoming an online technology reviewer, I think you did a great job!
