I absolutely love this game. It is hard to get used to playing on the Nintendo 3DS platform when you played this game soley on the PSP platform. This game reminds me of Pokemon, except you're killing them. There used to be around 14 main monsters in MH2, but now there's like God knows how many... Not even half way through the game, and I have already spent over 60 hours of game play. This game will kill a lot of time if you're willing to put the time into it.
I like how you can customize your items, map, status, etc. on the touch screen. Underwater battles is new. Plus the previous monsters in the previous MH series have some new moves.
I would recommend the Circle Pad Pro to go along with this game for the underwater battles. You can deal without the Circle Pad Pro, but it makes life that much easier because your hand doesn't go in crazy positions trying to change the camera view.
