5.0 out of 5 stars Justified deserves to be seen, April 13, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Justified: Season 1 (DVD)
Never saw Timothy Olyphant until the promos for Justified and he was just an actor. Until the pilot episode and then I was hooked. He is a gem and becomes Raylan Givens. I have now taken time to see other movies and shows he has been in and I say again, he steps into the boots and puts on the hat...and Raylan Givens is alive and well. The humor on this show is subtle but wonderful. FX likes their shows edgy and this is edgy but great. We are now about to see episode 5 and if you have not given it a chance, please do. You will have no regrets. The supporting cast blends like good cheese to his fine wine. Again give this show a look-see and be amazed.

It's a good show. "Deadwood" is Olyphant's best work, though, as he gets to play off one of the greatest British stage actors of all time, Ian McShane. They make magic together in Deadwood.

I am a big fan of T Olyphant the show looked promising. Walter Goggins was great in The Shield. The promo with both of them in the house with the shotguns was cool. The first two episodes of Justified had a continuing story. Then the third and fourth had nothing to do with the first two. I don't like shows with stand alone episodes. I like shows like 24, Breaking Bad, and The Shield. Did the story pick back up at all?

Episodes 2,3, and 4 could be called standalone altho there is always a hint of Raylan's history. But come Episode 5 and hang on. The show just sucks you in, we have the father story, then Ava and the reprecussions of the affair, the ex-wife...Yes I am a huge fan and watch all 5 airings of each episode to catch nuances of Timothy Olyphant's incredible performances.........it is worth investing at least one hour per week.

Good thing Amazon has the previous episodes for rent so I can catch up. Gotta set the DVR. Olyphant was awesome in Perfect Getaway.
