Readable, smart discussion of bike, run and tri science.,
This review is from: Faster: Demystifying the Science of Triathlon Speed (Paperback)
I've read a lot - A LOT - about the science of bikes and running. Which handlebar is lighter? Should I get Zipps or Reynolds? What about tire width??
This book breaks it down into readable, smart graphics and writing about the WHY behind component design as well as techniques. Want to run faster? There's physics about stride length that's relatable. Want to ride faster? Learn about if having an aerodynamic or light bike is more important, and how fast you have to ride for any of it to matter. It's a great gift for any of those nerdy friends you have who crinkle their numbers before races or babble on at dinner about their new minimalist shoes. If you're one of those people, this could save you a lot of time and money, and provide you with some cold, hard science the next time you smackdown on the group ride.
