This review is from: BREAKING PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE CYCLES (Paperback)
Dee Brown covers how a relationship with a person with a Passive-Agressive personality can wreck havoc on a person's life. She wrote it from the perspective on women and girls being emotionally abused by men. She didn't seem to express that women could be a Passive-Agressive also.

This is the first material that I have read about this subject. I wish the author was more direct in her information. She included many words of comfort and edification and explained the frustration and "crazy making" in dealing with a person with this syndrome.

I will be going through the book again and highlight her direction on dealing with a person with this personality flaw. She did explain how a child develops into this having been abused and then reverting to this way of deflecting such treatment and upbringing.

I came across one study in a later read that stated that the Passive-Agressive syndrome is pocessed by a small percentage of people with personality disorders and that Psycopaths are much more dangerous and more numerous.

The title of this book...The Silent Cry of Christian Women, clearly indicates that the focus of the book is written for women who are living with passive aggressive men.

To accentute the fact that you are not getting a males point of view of living with a passive aggressive woman is out of place here for any type of criticism.

The purpose of THIS book is FOR women.

Perhaps it would be wise to read the title of the book before reviewing the book.

I saw examples of what I understood her definition of a passive-aggressive tendency to be seen in women also. This was to highlight that her signs of passive-aggressiveness in men only were not so clearly stated to me. Insulting a person's ability to pay attention to the title and the review is not an encouraging element in sharing ideas.

I didn't mean it as an insult, Sister Barbara.
My regrets.
I simply responded to what you said. I think my comment was appropriate in light of what you said.
No ill will intended.

If you are interested in reading about Passive aggressive men, I can suggest Scott Wetzlers book: The Passive Aggressive Man.
Its an excellent read and quite informative on not only the subject, but how to cope living with a passive aggressive man.
If you are in the counseling field, this will be a must read. He is thorough on this subject as it relates to men.
