This review is from: Sweet Poison: Why Sugar Makes Us Fat (Paperback)
This book lays out very well the case for why sugar (fructose in particular) is the culprit in the Western Diet. All the data used comes from 'respectable' scientific journals. It also makes the case for why it is not fat that is the culprit. It is well written, clearly argued and provides evidence that I find compelling.
As a good summary of the case against sugar (fructose) I don't think it could be improved upon. A sane and valuable guide to the fat vs sugar controvers in the diet wars.
