Meh, I've read better and more memorable stories,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cicada (Kindle Edition)
I'm not being facetious when I say that the story was forget-able because it really is. I had to re-read the book to remember why I purchased it.
The story is of a supernatural nature; so if you love ghost stories this may be your cup of tea.
Marian, a science teacher on summer vacation, moves into Jon's house. Jon has been dead for a hundred years but he has to break the Cicada curse on himself by winning Marian's love. Marian has to fall in love (not just lust)with Jon in order to break the curse; she has a short period in which to do this least Jon has to wait for another woman to come along thus starting the process all over again.
I found myself skipping through pages because certain parts of the storyline were redundant and unnecessary (in my opinion).
It's not a long story and for that I was actually happy. It's a okay read if you want something to do during your plane ride or while waiting for your laundry to dry.
