5.0 out of 5 stars a gripping book, March 1, 2012
This review is from: The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin (Hardcover)
A page turner from start to finish. Putin is a thuggish street gangster and this book proves it. He rules Russia with an iron hand and will resort to any and all tactics to stay in power, including murder and political assassination. Hopefully this book will contribute to the wave of popular dissent going on in Russia to get rid of this cruel dictator.

Chris L. Monroe,

Thanks for the review. I just watched Jon Stewart interview the author about this book and she intimated that because Putin's past is so sketchy due to his many years with the KGB, he has been able to just about write his own personal 'history'. Does this book rely on information gained from Putin and his cronies, or is it actually information provided by independent 3rd parties?

it's so nice, when you are talking about Russia without understanding anything about it.
