R. Boland says:
You forgot an ENORMOUS con. Young adults/teens will read this book, and likely only this book, and be insufferable experts for a few months! I have spent, cumulatively, years reading history. I spent extravegently and am in debt getting sheepskins in history. I have had to listen to men two decades older spout utter nonsesne and be gentle when correcting them. A university student (!) relative of mine would not be gently guided into either shutting up or changing subjects with gentle correction. So I came down hard. Probably too hard. I approached him later and what had he brought on this beachside famreunion? THIS! UGH! Burn all survey books or begin them all with disclaimers!
