OK CHARLIE!...... YOU CAN START APOLOGIZING!,
This review is from: Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize (DVD)
This is an extremely disappointing set by "funny" man Charlie Murphy. The set starts slow and never reaches any momentum. The best joke is the last one and believe me, it's not worth sitting through the rest of this poor excuse of a comedy routine to hear it. I have seen Charlie in various shows before and I know he is capable of being very funny, but this set is more like a night of rambling chatter. It's one of the flatest comedy stand ups I've ever seen.

Sorry this didn't come up to expectations. I hear he is really funny, so this must be a fluke. Could he have had a bad day...as most of us do from time to time? Thanks for the heads-up, but I don't usually buy comedy anyway...except for Jen Wilkinson...lol

If this review was written by any one else there would be no way I would believe it, in fact I would refuse to. But you sir are one of the few reviews I trust, thanks for the warning I'll wait for my brother to get it.

I like Charlie and I kno he can be hillarious, but this set just doesn't have any spark. It's not that you can't sit through it as he can hold you attention, but it just isn't very funny.

He is very funny, but this set is more like a tape of him telling his friends about some random experiences. It's very disappointing.

After watching for about 15 min (10 of which was praising himself and reminding everyone that all he has is the Chapelle show) my buddy and me realized that there was no actual audience and the laughs were canned. Even more surprising as to why he looked so nervous and his act was so forced.

You know, I didn't notice that. It would certainly make some sense out of this lackluster set.
Thanks for the comment and your take on this.
