This review is from: The Blues Bass Handbook (Paperback)
Okay, first off, if you are an experinced bass player, you will be bored senseless in no time with this book. There is not THAT much "there" there.
With that said, if you are a dabbler, or know one, and not very good at anything yet, this is a GREAT book. Why? Simply because it is simple easy to learn without any complex theory, and the lines are easily mastered, thus leaving you with a real sense of accomplishment. When learning to play any instrument, the faster you gain the ability to actually play something, the more inclined you will be to keep moving along. This book excels at getting you that small way there!
There are a lot of Bass books out there, and many of them are way beyond the beginner. This one is perfect for the beginner seeking to move forward. That said, again, if you are an experienced player, you will likely be disappointed.
Who would best benefit from this book? The player with less than 6-9 months under their belt.
