3.0 out of 5 stars Just "okay", June 17, 2012

This review is from: Tumi Luggage T-Tech Presidio Lincoln Frequent Business Traveler (Apparel)
Having had a Tumi for over 20 years, I was under the impression that this would also have the same level of quality I was used to. But right out of the box the wheels didn't roll smoothly, the roundness of the bag means it holds less, etc make it just an average bag - that costs more than it's worth.

I used this bag for the last 3 years traveling every week and haven't had an issue. I was even able to fit 2 weeks worth of clothes for a two week business trip and pleasure trip in the weekend and I will say, I love this bag. It has held up to everything. From the Continental US to the islands! I brought this bag with me everywhere. I have logged over 207,000 miles and I even checked it in sometimes. It finally took 3 years for the Tumi emblem to get ripped off and I figured man this sucks, what should I do, (background story, I fussed about that so my sister ended up buying me a new Tumi Alpha 20" international carry on expandable bag for Christmas) so I decided to go to Tumi Short Hills. The wheels were worn down from all the rolling, the nylon in the back by the handle was worn, the plastic stops at the bottom was worn, the leather by the wheels was worn and had 1 rip but overall the bag was solid. I paid $25 to have them send in my bag since I was told it was covered. Well 2 weeks later, I received a BRAND new bag. I was happy with my purchase and Tumi standing behind their product made me even more of a die hard fan. Even though I didn't buy it off Amazon I will write my own review, I'm sorry you don't have the same feeling toward the bag as I do.

On a side note for quality, T-Tech is the "Cheaper" version of Tumi, so of course it won't have the same level of quality as a regular Tumi bag such as an Alpha. But I am witness to the longevity of their bags and quality of build, cheap version or not.
