3.0 out of 5 stars meh..., December 29, 2012
This review is from: Mass Effect Trilogy [Online Game Code] (Software Download)
The good: ME 1/2/3 all included in one package. All of ME1 DLC is included.

The bad: the following DLC is missing:

ME2:
Lair of the Shadow Broker (really good)
Overlord Pack (meh)
Arrival (mainly a solo dlc pack)
Kasumi - Stolen Memory (get to add a new character)

ME3:
From Ashes (pretty good)
Leviathan (pretty good)
(anything else currently out)

The Ugly:
ME3 plays on with all ME2 DlC considered canon and played whether or not you have actually purchased it.

Conclusion-
As a player of the entire trilogy, it is hard to recommend this to people new to the series. The only period I would do so is when this is on sale. Also keep a look out if you can buy these separately at a cheaper price, because this collection is no different from buying the games separately.

Hi Jonathan, I hope you can help cause nowhere on the internet can I find the information. You say the collection is no different from buying the games separately. Does the trilogy include the normal or the digital deluxe version of ME2 and ME3? I'm about to buy this and your help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to intrude but, as far as I know, the editions of ME2 and ME3 packaged with the trilogy are the standard ones for each platform. That means no extra goodies or DLC. If you want to buy the trilogy, the PS3 version has almost all of ME2 DLC because it already came with the standard edition of ME2 (I think Arrival's the only one missing). Alternatively, you could wait and see if EA/Bioware releases a more complete pack later on.

Thanks Andres. I don't have a PS3. I ended up buying ME and ME2 Deluxe on Steam and got only ME3 Deluxe from Amazon (which works on Origin) cause I wanna stay away from Origin as best as possible. It so happens Steam was having a 75% off and buying them separately works out to the same price.

This does include the Delux version of ME2. You get the documentry and the art book included as well as all the other perks of that version.

ME2 was a cluster-errrthing of dlcs. I would wait for EA to release an actual complete edition.
