4.0 out of 5 stars Extended Edition Please, July 27, 2007
This review is from: Waterworld (DVD)
With so much other crap being released these days for a quick buck, can we PLEASE get this re-released as a decent DVD version complete with the Extended Edition that's shown on cable and television from time to time. I would love to spend my money on it. Who is with me?

I just saw the extended version on the Sci Fi channel and it is awesome! I've watched the released version dozens of times and now I have so many questions answered. When it was first released everyone said it was flawed, and I guess to some extent it was, but the extended version goes a long way toward fixing most of those flaws. I'm with you!

I came here looking for that exact item. I agree, the Extended Edition should be re-released. I'd buy it in a minute.

I unwittingly saw the extended version once on cable TV. The thing that particularly struck me was the very end, I don't wanna ruin it for anyone because it's edited out of the commonly shown version: The woman and the girl are shown standing on the mountain top as in the edited version but additionally, here it is kids, they show a plaque on the ground that it's Mt. Everest. I can't believe that part is edited out. I've seen parts of the film a number of times on TV (lets face it, watching it on TV with commercials the thing can literally last 3 hours maybe more and feels like 4 or 5 though that's a family joke around here) and I keep checking to see if they show the plaque at the end and they never do, just that one time I saw it. I'll be right there to buy the extended version, in a minute.

This is the version I saw first on tv. with the plaque. When I bought a DVD that part was cut out. Made me so mad. That is the version I want, the one with the plaque.
