Sounds like it's almost the "perfect light". If only it had a brightness selector switch (light, medium, strong). Actually, a dimming switch would be even better. To have the option to choose the exact amount of illumination on your Kindle (or whatever you're using it on) would be great. If I don't buy the Kindle Lighted Cover then I will buy this light. Great review! Thanks.

This is great! I actually work for LightWedge (maker of the Verso Clip Light) and would love to post this on our youtube channel and website. Any chance you would be able to send this to me so that I can post? Thanks! Jodi

Thanks for such an excellent comprehensive review. You answered all of my questions, especially the issue with the "conical" light. I find that annoying too!

Thanks for completing my shopping list. Many long time power outages here. Very Avid readers and Kerosene lamps not productive towards reading. Thank You again.

I really liked your review on this unit, it answered some questions I had on the unit, one I'm still left with after reading several reviews. What is the color temp like? Some say the light output is blue instead of white, have you noticed this as well?

Hang on it's right next to me, let me see... (picks up light). Ok can't see, stared right at it, hang on... ok I'm good. Anyway, it could possibly have a VERY slight blue color to it, but it's definitely closer to tungsten than blue. I would say it has the same kind of color temp as high end vehicles have with LED headlights (not those stupid fog lights tuners like to put under their rice burners, the actual headlights), but it's not that yellowish white of a regular incandescent bulb.

Ha! Thanks for the quick and humorous response, needed a good laugh today. One last question, I swear, now that you've had the light some time, what's the battery life been like?

M. Thompson says:
Being LED based, the battery life is excellent, I'm only now considering changing the batteries because I've noticed the light has dimmed (though it is STILL very usable), and I've had mine for a year.
