Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Foscam Pan And Tilt Wireless IP Camera with 9bdi antennas 2 pack FI8918W (Camera)
These cameras function as advertised other than they both reboot randomly. No rhyme or reason for it, just randomly reboot. When they reboot, they occasionally do not come back online or will come back out of position. Also, when they reboot, the IR comes on and the date and time are wrong. I have tried several different software packages and it doesn't matter what software I am using, the problem still exists. I have even got them plugged into a UPS for power.
Easy to setup before they are installed (outside under the eave of my house in my case) but a pain if you have to reset them since they have to be physically connected to your wireless router to perform the wireless setup so they will then talk to your router.
The included software doesn't do any motion activated recording that I can find. It is handy for seeing what the cameras are seeing but you have to initiate the recording yourself.
The software that I like the best to use with it is Active WebCam. Another one that works reasonably well is Ispy.
Bottom line? If you can deal with the random reboots then these are great. If not, then look elsewhere.

I recently bought the 3-pack and noticed that the software I was using (EvoCam) periodically would lose the connection to the cameras, but not all of them at the same time. I happened to be sitting next to one of them and heard it reset, so I suspect that is what is happening. I reported it to Foscam and they said it could be a power problem, don't use DC extension cords, etc, but they are all using only the power adapters that were shipped, and my UPSes are not reporting any power glitches. I will report back if the issue is resolved.
