5.0 out of 5 stars Our Dog only allows these clippers!, April 19, 2008
Length:: 0:53 Mins

Please excuse our dog's messy hairstyle, we were just documenting her first big haircut and hadn't thought about posting it as a review until later.

Our Lhasa Apso is a non-shedding dog, so her hair will grow out to the floor unless trimmed. She used to go to the dog spa for $34 a trim! We tried other clippers to save money at home, but she wouldn't let us go near her with them, the sound freaked her out.
These are truly the only ones she is calm with. Check out the video. She can handle about 5 minutes at a time, so we learned to do the hard parts first.

These trimmers are very heavy, solid, and work great!!! They get warm but not hot, and I think that is ok. They're loud, but I don't know of any clippers that aren't loud.

We love this, it works for us, I have a hunch it's going to last a really long time! Feels like great quality!

The clippers shown on this review look great. The only thing that I noticed right away is that they are not for the product shown. The clippers shown are a cordless type not the corded "Oster" clippers that was posted. These clippers are not at all what I would look at because of needing to clip several dogs without the time to charge them up. I show dogs and groom my own dogs and because of the limitted time to groom the dogs I would need the corded models. Great video clip for the clippers shown on it. What type are they?

Actually, if you look closely, you'll see that he IS clipping the dog with corded clippers. He then sets them down, and the small clippers the dog sniffs are not the ones being used in the video -- probably a second smaller trimmer they use in addition to the corded ones for hard-to-reach or delicate spots.

I see how you thought that, but the dog is sniffing a different set of clippers, not the ones being used.My husband set those down out of sight of the camera. We would have shot it differently if we had thought about using the video as a review in advance. We'll try to take another video this summer, but you can definitely see how calm our Lhasa is while the clippers are used on her!
