Watch the original!,

This is a remake (ripoff?) of a brilliant film from 1976 called "Who Can Kill a Child?" Much of the movie is duplicated almost shot for shot. Of course, they had to add more gore, and make the lead actors younger and more attractive, to appeal to the sensibilities of the modern audience. But doing so turned a treatise on the effects of violence on children into yet another run of the mill horror film. I don't mean to sound elitist - I'm a huge horror fan. But there are only so many versions of "kids gone evil" you can get away with before they all start to look the same. Trust me, watch the original. Unless you're looking for something in the "Children of the Corn" spectrum. Then have at it. But keep in mind, remakes tend to be like sequels. The farther you get from the first one, the worse they are. This is the first remake that I know of, so not completely awful. Just not as good either.
