More books are coming...,
This review is from: The Mystical and Magical System of the A .'. A .'. - The Spiritual System of Aleister Crowley & George Cecil Jones Step-by-Step (Hardcover)Apologies to those who came here and only found the expensive second-hand copies. THE BOOK IS IN PRINT. Amazon only ordered a small quantity and they sold out in an hour or two. They will order more, and we will send them more - but, perhaps, they want to give the second hand copies a chance to sell (priced at $700-$2,000) before they push the $49 virgin copies. Thank you very much for your interest - we manufactured a really high quality product and want to get it into your hands.

A Bookish Lad says:
Why not make this book available through other outlets in addition to Amazon? It is silly to try to distribute copies of the book through Amazon if Amazon is only going to order a few copies at a time that sell out within hours. You posted regarding this problem back in October. It is now December and the problem is on-going - Amazon sold out again today (December, 2008). You should explore a better method of distribution.

Thank you I just received my copy (ordered new at $49 from Amazon). It's an outstanding book, and I'm glad to finally have a copy in my collection. I do agree with the other person who wrote that you may want to sell through other venues if Amazon is only going to order a handful of copies at a time. I see it's again unavailable as I write this, except through resellers at $150 and up. Guess I lucked out when I finally saw it stocked and immediately hit the 1-Click Buy thingy!

Still waiting to see it here and I do check back never less than once a week.
What exactly is taking it so long? Is there any other avenue for obtaining this tome at the $49. cost?

Thank you for posting this. I finally got one of the new $49.00 copies. I suggest that anyone that wants a new, reasonably priced book copy a link from this product page on your desktop and check it daily. Last week 3/3/09 they listed 3 more new copies and I finally got mine. They sold out quick so if you see it listed don't dilly-dally. I wouldn't use the 1-click either but buy it immediately and get the verification rather than chance that the copy will still be there in 90 minutes... strange things happen when you really want a book.

The book IS available through other outlets, including http://thelema.org/publications - but Amazon has still been its best distributor, even with their slow stocking. -- Where you usually won't find the book is in retail book stores. Such stores usually only order a few copies at a time (much less than a full case, for example), and our cost of mailing them the few copies usually means we LOSE MONEY. This particular book isn't intended to MAKE money, and is priced as low as we can while retaining the manufacturing standards (and no royalties are paid on this title); but we can't actually LOSE money on the transaction. - Thanks for your interest! - PS: Please see my other book, recently released, 776 1/2. Amazon ordered a few cases but JUST cover pre-publication orders and about 4 more copies, with more on the way. You an order that one through the above link, too. (Again, we appreciate everything Amazon has done for us, and I only post other sales avenues here because Amazon simply won't ordfer enough to keep this briskly-selling book in stock.)
