Great entry level APC mirrorless camera,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I originally posted an irrelevant review, but reading over the current reviews of this product, I'll take a moment and actually review this product. This is an APC sensor sized mirrorless camera. Do not compare it to a compact point and shoot, which is basically a cell phone camera with zoom. The sensor on this camera is huge compared to regular compact cameras. That mean it is available to gather MUCH more light to compose an image. Sensor size is what determines the quality of an image, much more so than megapixels.
With that out of the way, this camera is an excellent value. Image quality is superb. Auto focus struggles somewhat in low light with the kits lens, but that is expected. The autofocus is INFINITELY better than point and shoot, and shutter lag is isn't an issue. The menu functions seem a little complex, but that probably has more to do with the fact that it's new to me, more-so than design. It really is feature packed with wifi functionality built in and the ifunction features. The included flash is pretty bad, about on par with all pop up flashes. If you are serious about low light photography, get a real flash for it. This camera was a bargain when i bought it at $450.00, and is even more-so at it's current price. Purchase a fast prime lens and a real external flash and you have an amazing setup that blows away simple point and shoot digital cameras.
