5.0 out of 5 stars What it does and what you get for your money., July 14, 2008
Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

As a long time consumer of Lazer Tag brand toys, I give you a quick overview of what this set does and what you get in the box, and share my opinions on these features and the value of this set. I've played laser tag with a variety of consumer (toy) and professional (business) laser tag gear, and I feel that there is no better "bang for your buck" than Lazer Tag brand toys.

We just played our first lazer tag game this weekend...and had alot of fun. Your video was just what I need to help me make an informed purchase. I wish everything I wanted to buy came with that much info. :-) Our backyard will be filled with the playing of lazer tag come Christmas morning.

Greg, Thanks for the thoughtful review. I am buying this system based solely on that. My wife is going to give me a hard time b/c my sons are 2 and 4 but I think they can get some fun playing hide and seek with this.

LOL! That's awesome!
I'll tell you what, though. In the 90's when Tiger had the Lazer Tag brand, I picked up a bunch of that stuff, and had my, then about 4-5 son playing with them with me. They were kind of hard to aim, though, so it was one-sided even when I tried to let him win. As for this gear, the tikes will have more fun, as long as they can work the Shot Blast feature. The wide spread will make it easier for them. All they'll have to do is chase you around, blasting at you over and over with that feature. They 4yo will love it for sure. The 2yo... well... I guess that depends on how big/stong and coordinated he is, if he can carry the thing around and use it. ;-) But hey, they'll grow into them! Remind your wife that it's good exercise for everyone, and maybe get some other family and/or friends to give it a try. :)

Greg,
Are there any free standing targets that register hits that I can purchase?
Thanks again for the help. I showed my wife your review and she is on board!
