The Sweetness by Sande Boritz-Berger reviewer: Barbara McNelis (NYC & Taos, NM),

This review is from: 2010 ABNA Quarterfinalist 11 (Kindle Edition)
This is storytelling as its best. I am hungry to read the whole story of the lives of these young women as they parallel and intersect with one another. Ms. Boritz-Berger's magical ability to bring to life, with her uncanny rendering of details, the world of the 1940s and the souls of these girls, makes this a non-stop read. This is full of heart, intelligence and pathos, when will it be published in its entirety??

I believe in fate. I am writing from Rochester, NY. Interested in the book and read a wonderful review and think it is written by one of the most influential women in my life. Could it be my professor, mentor and inspiration from WCSU Dr. Barbara McNelis? My name is Mary Mertz (Now Mary Hurley). I so hope.

Yes, life is full of surprises!! What a great one this is to hear from you. Sande was my sorority sister in college and a very talented writer. We have super good friends in Rochester (Mapstones, 3 sons and a daughter), how are you and why are you there?? I pass by the place you ran for the teens here in Ridgefield everyday when I do my walks, it is now a business office. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. This is too short a space to catch up. I split my year between Taos,NM and Anna Maria , Fl (& a wee bit in Ct.). would love to hear form you!
