Impressive picture for the price. That's it really... (UPDATE 2),
This review is from: Coby TFTV3229 32-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV 720p with HDMI Input (Electronics)Picked up one of these on the cheap during a KMart sale after my old Toshiba CRT HDTV died on me. It's native resolution is 720p, but it can accept 1080p and scale it down. The picture is still beautiful, however. While the picture is rather impressive for its price, you will soon find why the TV is set as a cheap option once the sound is turned on.
The sound is bad... I mean REALLY bad. It sounds like they tore apart two cheapy cell phones, took out their speakers and put them into the TV. It is terrible sounding... I suggest picking up some sound system solution like a sound bar to fix the set.
Some other issues I came across as well is the placement of the remote sensor. For some reason, it is mounted on the right side of the TV near the power LED, which is very annoying. Instead of aiming right at the TV, you have to aim at the right corner to do anything, and even then the controller messes up. Also, if you have cable or dish, chances are your box top remote won't work with the TV. Speaking of which, if anyone can provide me with a working code for a DirecTV RC64 remote for this TV, I will be very grateful as I have tried ALL of the codes provided by them with no working results.
All in all, while the picture is pretty nice, this may be a pass for anyone who doesn't have a sound solution already or patience to use the remote.
UPDATE: Not sure if it is just me or what, but I've noticed sometimes that the TV will get stubborn when you try to turn it on by hand or remote. It'll act like it is turning on, then just turn off on itself. A minor annoyance at most, but it does make me worry sometimes.
UPDATE 2: My brother's set just flickered out and died less than a year in. I'm starting to wonder if that's what is happening with the sudden turn offs with my set. Hoping mine lasts much longer, but at this rate I'm not holding my breath.

its not 1080p. it can accept a signal up to 1080p but it will be downgraded to the displays native resolution, which is 720p. the tv does not have enough pixels to display 1080p.

Had to double check that, and you're right. I feel stupid for posting that now... Thanks for the correction.
