Some folks protest that they like the feel of a book and that the Kindle doesn't have it...with this cover - it does.
I've seen and handled several Kindle covers and this one is by far the best.
It's comfortable and easy to handle. It does not get in the way.
BTW, it looks great!

Berlin Porcelain says:
Cole Haan is a designer brand so it has a designer price to go with it. I've never owned anything made by Cole Haan but I own handbags and accessories by their closest competition Coach and Kate Spade. I've found designer brand handbags and accessories while expensive (I almost always buy them at a Saks or Neiman's Outlets though ^_^ ) generally are of much higher quality and endure where other bags fail. I have a Prada messenger bag that I bought myself as a congratulations treat with my first paycheck after obtaining a Much better job then I'd previously had and it still shows minimal wear after having carried it about 75% - 85% of the time for almost 5 years and it's not even leather.

Hey Tom -
Can I ask you a question about your case?
Does the spine in any way put any pressure on the Kindle's face plate? The reason I ask is because the Amazon Kindle 2 case actually cracked my unit in two places and I'm looking for a replacement.

You might want to try the m-edge leather covers - not only do they have the plastic notches that fit into the side, but the right hand corners have a small leather/elastic that keeps the kindle stable in the cover. If you open the case (with the open side down), the kindle will not fall out, and there is no stress on it either.

Thanks, chicvibe -
I'll look into the m-edge covers! I'd feel better putting a cover on my K2 instead of just leaving it "naked".

In response to Paul above and his quote, "What a way to gouge the consumer" Are you kidding me?! Are you some how being forced to buy this?! Some people like quality and will pay for it. Cole Haan makes fine products and if they're too expensive for your tastes, don't buy them...Wal-mart is open 24-7 for you.

This cover was briefly priced at $29.99! Decided to buy it for my K2i. Beautiful cover and well worth it ($29.99). Even the inside is suede leather.
As nice as the cover is, it's hard to justify a $99.99 price though. Reckon for those who like to know they spent a whole lot for an item...
By the way, the upper clip that slides up and down was a little stiff. Can see where those who aren't aware how it works could have a problem. But if you work it up and down a few times it loosens up a little.
