4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality but not quite what I expected, January 7, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: YTC SUMMIT 5114 Egyptian Statues - Set of 4 - C-36 (Kitchen)
I'd first like to say that these are quality pieces. They are well cast and have excellent detail. I would have gave them 5 stars except they weren't quite what I expected. I had bought these mini-statues with the intent of placing them on my altar assuming that there would be two male and two female deities. However there are three female and one male deity, not quite the male to female ratio I was hoping for. From the picture you can tell that one of them is Bast and another one is Anubis, but the two seated figures are a bit hard to identify in the picture. When I opened the boxes I realized that the two seated figures are Isis and Sekhmet. Their size and quality is perfect for altar use (especially if you have limited space) so I'll be happily placing Bast and Anubis there, Isis and Sekhmet will have a home on one of my shelves with some other figurines, where I'm sure they will be admired by everyone who sees them. If it hadn't been for my assumption I would have been very pleased.

those seated goddesses look exactly like sekhmet and isis! the first thing i said to myself when i saw the pic was, "sekhmet? cool!" you don't see her too much. how could you not tell? if they're as beautiful as you say, they deserve a 5-star rating, as the reason you did not like them isn't the fault of the product, but your own for not being able to recognise what's in the picture. honestly.
