Very cool watch,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Luminox Evo Navy Seal Blackout Mens Watch 3051.BLACKOUT (Watch)
Luminox watches have never really done much for me, that being said, I saw this watch in a jewelry store on a trip to Hawaii and it caught my eye. Previous to that I had been eye-balling a Tag Heuer Formula One with black case, face and band -but the price seemed to high for what that watch is.
Then I saw this watch which is truly blacked-out except for luminescent markers. I asked to try it on and wow! - it is light! The case isn't stainless steel it says it is made of carbon...all of this for just $295. I was in love. I decided to sleep on it, and when I returned the next day sure of my intent to purchase it was gone :( I was told that this blacked-out version sells out quite quickly.
I returned to the mainland and kept checking online for it and told myself if I could find it at a discount I would buy it, eventually it came up here on Amazon at $219, so I pulled the trigger. Dexclusive/Amazon shipped the watch quick and it was on my wrist in 2 days. One thing however, which I didn't notice in my initial excitement -- there are two approx 1-2mm gouges in the right caseback. What are those? Was some marking removed? Is the watch refurbished? I don't see something like that making it out of QC at the factory. It has given me some pause - but I've been wearing the watch for 1 day now and no issues. By the way the indices glow a very bright blue at night with orange at 12 o'clock...so cool

the dings on the back case are intentional number stamps that are punched into all of the watches. some of the watches weren't punched correctly and the numbers are distorted. if you use a magnifying glass, you might be able to make out a number or the top of a "1"
