Now is it just me....,
This review is from: Duets: The Final Chapter (Audio CD)
OR did Puffy say this would include previously UNRELEASED MATERIAL, UNHEARD TRACKS, RARITIES and EXCLUSIVES??? I am a huge fan of Biggie and all I hear on this album is remixes. I didn't hear ONE new verse. It's true, those consumers who are only aware of legit Biggie albums may think they are hearing some new material, but one does not have to listen closely to realize that Biggie fans have been waiting 6 years since the atrocity of Born Again for this collection of what seems to be NOTHING but half descent to terrible remixes with rappers NOT at their best but rather at their rapidly retiring stage. For about 5 bucks you can buy all these verses on a MUCH better mixtape from your local bootlegger with their ORIGINAL beats, and albeit the sound quality isn't perfect, BELIEVE ME, the tracks match the vocals and flow beautifully. It is nice to listen to old Biggie songs on new beats, it can refresh the sound you have heard a million times but this is what STREET DJ's and cheap mix cd's are for. HEY PUFFY WHY DON'T YOU BUY THE RIGHTS TO SOME OF BIGGIE'S UNHEARD UNRELASED RARE MATERIAL FROM HIS OLD DJ'S BEFORE YOU GOT A HOLD OF HIM.... YOU KNOW MISTER CEE, DJ 50 GRAND, STREET TAPES, OLD RECORDING SESSIONS. BIGGIE FANS ARE LOOKING FOR NEWWWWWW MATERIAL WITH AUDIO ENHANCEMENTS NOTTTT TRACKS WE HAVE HEARD A MILLION TIMES WITH NEW BEATS THAT DON'T EVEN MATCH THE FLOW ALL THAT WELL.
SHAME ON YOU DIDDY, THIS IS PATHETIC
5 STARS FOR BIGGIE ALWAYS, 3 FOR THIS ALBUM ONLY BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS INTERESTING TO HEAR BIGGIE REMIXES EVEN IF THEY AREN'T DONE ALL THAT WELL
LONG LIVE BIGGIE, TUPAC & BIG PUN
RAP IS DEAD
