Full featured G9X for less,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Logitech G9X Gaming Mouse Call of Duty: MW3 Edition (Personal Computers)
If you want the G9X but don't want to pay full price, this is the way to go. I did some price searching and found the MW3 edition here to be around half the price of a new G9X anywhere else. I'm not a Call of Duty enthusiast so I simply covered the decal on the face of the mouse with black sharpie and no one is the wiser. I was concerned that this was a feature-lacking version of the G9X but was pleased to find that this mouse has the same weights, grips, buttons and lights as the standard G9X.
I bought this mouse to replace the Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse as the included dongle repeatedly dropped the mouse and I would have to restart my computer for the mouse to respond again. This wired mouse has saved me the trouble of a dropped signal, replacing/recharging batteries while adding many features. The current drivers for the mouse allow me to program hotkeys for ALL of the buttons including the "preset" button which I never use. These hotkeys are crucial for my work in audio editing and are a huge time saver. Additionally, the software allows you to program application specific hotkeys i.e. you can program different functions for the same button depending on which program you are using.
My only complaints are the decal and the cheesy branded mousepad (which I don't use). But really, I should be thankful for these as I can only guess that they are responsible for the lower price.
I strongly recommend this mouse to anyone who uses a mouse for repetitive work for hours on end.

Is the logo a decal or is it painted on? Just how hard would it be to remove?

It's part of the surface material, therefore impossible to remove without damaging the cover. Simple to cover with a black sharpie pen.

I've got a drawer full of those. Thanks for the reply.
