This review is from: A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
I have happily reread Martin's first four books in preparation for the fifth. I have read and reread the first three numerable times, and loved them always. This is only my first time rereading A FEAST FOR CROWS, and I am really amazed at how much I enjoyed it. My first read? Ugh. Slow. My favorite characters were missing. Too much subtext and background. But, reading this on the heals of STORM OF SWORDS, I can only say this is quite a solid entry in the series. Yep, we learn of the reprecussions of life after the Red Wedding, the death of Joffrey, and the destruction of the river lands. Crows do, indeed, feast. But so too does evil, vengeance, and decency. Some of our favorite characters shine: Jaimie is well developed. Cersei and her weight gain are but part of the traumas that strike our regal B*tch. A much better read than I remembered. Something to savor, even at its slowest moments.
